Mou Between Shell Pakistan Limited And SOSTTI to Manufacture Eco Marathon Car.

MOU between Shell Pakistan Limited and SOSTTI to Manufacture/Assemble an eco-friendly Car as student’s project was Signed on March 8,2023. Mr Sanaullah Qureshi, Chairman, SOSTTI and Ms Nida Tanzed, Social Performance Manager, Shell Pakistan Limited offered their signatures on the MOU. The project is funded by Shell Pakistan Limited.

Visit from National Office.

  • President- elect Mr. Shahid Hamid visited SOSTTI on Feb 14, 2023. He was accompanied by Executive Vice President Mrs. Mahnaz Farid and National Director Mrs. Saba Faisal.
  • Mr. Shahid Hamid was received by Chairman SOS Sindh Mr. Javed Jabbar and Chairman SOSTTI Sanaullah Qureshi. Ms. Nino Hamid Executive Vice Chairperson SOS Sindh, Mr. Majid Khandwala Treasurer SOS Sindh and Mr. Yacoobali G. Zamindar were also present.
  • The Principal SOSTTI gave a detailed presentation to the President- elect Mr Shahid  Hamid about the history, activities and training at SOSTTI. He was also taken on a walk around of the various workshops and computer Labs at SOSTTI.
  • The guests and staff were served lunch.

SOSTTI Staff Set-up a Stall at a Jobs & Skills Expo

  • SOSTTI staff set up a stall at a Jobs & Skills Expo on January 8, 2023 organized by Agha Khan Economic Planning Board for Pakistan. A large number of students visited the stall set up by SOS TTI. Flyers and Admission Form were distributed among the visiting students.

30 students from Jamia Millia Technical Institute visited SOSTTI

30 students from Jamia Millia Technical Institute visited SOSTTI on January 28, 2023. They were accompanied by HOD Mechanical. The students visited workshops and were briefed by the SOSTTI staff. The students showed interest in joining SOSTTI and were issued admission forms.

Certificate Distribution Ceremony

  • A Certificate Distribution Ceremony of the Institute was held on Tuesday December 6, 2022.Certificates were awarded to graduating students of the Phase-IV, Batch-X of Benazir Bhutto Human Resource Research and Development Board (BBSHRRDB).
  • Mr. Yasir Ashraf, Chief Executive Officer, Infaq Foundation was the Chief Guest.


Final assessment was conducted by NAVTTC assessors on November 24, 2022. Deputy Director, Mr Faqir Muhammad from NAVTTC Headquarters Islamabad monitored and conducted the final assessment along with Assistant Director Mr Bharat Kumar from the Regional Office, Karachi.

Two assessors each from Aman Tech and Memon Institute were present for conduct of examination and preparation of results.

20 students of Motorcycle Mechanic and 18 students of General Electrician were present and were assessed successful. Remaining 5 students of Motorcycle Mechanic and 7 students of General Electrician course were absent.

SOSTTI students carried out practical fire exercise on November 26 & 28, 2022. Mr Ghafoor Khan, HOD Electrical conducted the fire exercise.

Shell Tameer

SOSTTI/Shell Tameer workshop for SOSTTI student entrepreneurs was conducted on December 1, 2022. 30 students participated in the training workshop.


A MOU signing ceremony between Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited and SOS Technical Training Institute
was held on November 3, 2022 at SOSTTI. SOS Children’s Villages of Sindh Managing Committee
Members were present on the occasion. Prominent committee members were:

The salient of the MOU are as follows:

  • To provide employment, internship and industrial visits / Job opportunities to the
    students/graduates of SOS TTI.
  • To explore other avenues of collaboration such as:
    – Setting up dedicated vocational training program for Gul Ahmed/textile industry (as per the
    organization/industry requirement) and sponsoring underprivileged students
    All guest proceeded on a walk round of SOSTTI and were later served lunch.

SOSTTI is collaborating with Shell Pakistan Limited

to construct a Shell eco-friendly car

  • SOSTTI is collaborating with Shell Pakistan Limited to construct a Shell eco-friendly car.
  • A meeting was held with Shell Pakistan Limited on August 1, 2022 at SOSTTI and various aspects of the project were discussed. The representative of Shell Pakistan generally approved the project and directed that funding proposals be forwarded in phases keeping the construction priorities in mind. The first costing requirement for phase-I Rs. 618,000/- was forwarded on August 2, 2022 for approval of Shell Pakistan limited
  • AN MOU with Shell Pakistan Limited for construction of eco-friendly car is expected to be finalized soon at Shell House

An (MOC) for providing two weeks training / internship for SOSTTI Welding students

An Memorandum of Collaboration (MOC) for providing two weeks training / internship for SOSTTI Welding students has been signed between Automobile Corporation of Pakistan and SOSTTI on July 21, 2022. The MOC was signed by CEO of Automobile Corporation of Pakistan Cdre (Retd) Kamran Khan and Principal of SOSTTI. The Chairman of Automobile Corporation of Pakistan Mr Khayum Hussain was also present on the occasion.

Advance welding course internship completion certificate distribution

22 students of Advance Welding course completed 15 days internship in Automobile Corporation of Pakistan (bowser manufacturing factory) in Port Qasim. On completion of internship the students were awarded certificates by Cdre (Retd) Kamran Khan, CEO, Automobile Corporation of Pakistan. Principal, SOSTTI and staff were also present.

Indus Hospital held a blood donation camp at SOSTTI

Indus Hospital held a blood donation camp at SOSTTI on August 1, 2022. A large number of students volunteered to donate blood. Finally 17 student and staff were selected as per Indus Hospital criteria and donated blood

CEO International Skills Mark visited SOSTTI

CEO International Skills Mark visited SOSTTI on September 19, 2022 and gave a presentation to Chairman, SOSTTI about International Certification for the students. The CEO has been asked to reduce training costs for SOSTTI students.

CSR PARCO, Ms Aiman Ali visited SOsTTI

CSR PARCO, Ms Aiman Ali visited SOTTI on September 26, 2022 and briefed the Principal about the new funding policy of PARCO. SOSTTI has forwarded a proposal to PARCO accordingly.

MOU signed between SOSTTI and Shell Pakistan Limited

An MOU has been signed between SOSTTI and Shell Pakistan Limited on June 22, 2022 to train 17 Shell employees at TTI in various technical trades and computers. Chairman, SOS Childrens’s Villages of Sindh Mr Javed Jabbar and Co-Chairman, SOSTTI, Mr Yacoobali G. Zamindar, Country Chair, Shell Pakistan, Mr Waqar Siddiqui, Commercial Manager, Muhammad Hasnain, Social Performance Advisor Ms Afshan Pasha, and Training Manager Mr. Imran Azeem, Shell Tameer were present on the occasion. This is indeed a significant achievement for TTI to be selected by Shell Pakistan Limited out of a panel of different Institutes in Karachi.

training workshop by atlas honda (pvt) for Afghan Refugee students

Atlas Honda leading manufacturer of Honda Motorcycles is supporting SOSTTI by providing motorcycles, tools and equipment for training and also conducts regular training of SOSTTI students undergoing Motorcycle Mechanic course. On June 23, 2022 Atlas Honda held a training workshop for National Vocational & Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) sponsored 25 Afghan Refugee students at SOSTTI. This training course is very popular with the young students who participated with great enthusiasm and interest.


Tool kits distribution ceremony for 36 students of NAVTTC/UNHCR Batch-lll Afghan Refugees was held on May 10, 2022. The students attended training in following trades:

  • General Electrician
  • Motorcycle Mechanic

Certificates distribution ceremony for 66 students of NAVTTC High-tech Batch-ll was also held on May 10, 2022. The students attended training in following trades:

  • Maintenance of Diesel Power Generating Plants
  • Computer Application and Office Manager
  • CIT (Web Software & Mobile Application Development.

Mrs Nabeela Umer, Director General, NAVTTC Sindh was the Chief Guest and distributed tool kits and certificates to the students. Chairman, SOSTTI Mr Sanaullah Qureshi, Co Chairman, Mr Yacoonbali G. Zamindar and Admiral Syed A. Bagar were also present on the occasion, A large number of guests from various industries and students also attended the ceremony.

 The Chief Guest was conducted for a walk round of SOSTTI workshops by the Principal and briefed about the training activities particularly training for 100 NAVTTC students.The Chief Guest appreciated the quality of training and equipment in the workshops.

All NAVTTC students and staff were also provided lunch after the ceremony.

Systems Limited

Ms Naureen Anwar, VP-Special Projects of Systems Limited one of the largest software house in Pakistan visited SOSTTI with her team on April 1, 2022. A meeting was held with the chairman of SOSTTI Mr Sanaullah Qureshi. Systems Limited has agreed to provide internship/OJT to SOSTTI students of computer courses. They have also agreed to train SOSTTI Instructors.


A management team of Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited visited SOSTTI in January, 2022 to discuss training of students focused to the textile sector. Gul Ahmed has Offered internship and on the job training of student and providing job opportunities. An MOU has been prepared which is expected to be promulgated shortly.

An MOU between Total Parco and SOSTTI for providing jobs / internship / on job training safety equipment and other workshop tools was signed on august 5, 2019 by chairman of SOSTTI Mr Sanaullah Qureshi and Cheif executive of Total Parco Mr Oliver Sabri.


Mr. Yacoobali zamindar, Co Chairman SOSTTI received the guests. The Principal Cdre (Rtd.) Khalid Wasim gave a video presentation on role and training activities of SOSTTI to the ceo total and other guests. He was then conducted on a walk round of the tti workshops. The ceo total appreciated the standard of training, equipment and infrastructure. He assured tti of continued training related support to tti.

Gm operations and head of hr from Meskay & Femtee Trading Company (private) limited visited SOSTTI on june 17, 2019. The Principal gave a presentation to the guest about training activities and courses at tti. The guests were taken around all workshops. They agreed to employe students from SOSTTI

International Women’s Day, Shell Tameer In Collaboration With SOSTTI

To mark this year’s (March 8, 2019) international women’s day, shell tameer in collaboration with SOSTTI hosted mentoring circles for 14 female led micro start-ups that graduated from SOS Technical Training Institute karachi last year. The mentors were the highly seasoned professionals; Rehana Alam, a renowned humanitarian associated with behbud association; humaira bachal, Shell Tameer Alumni and Ceo of Roshan Pakistan and founder of Dream Foundation an inspirational educationist breaking barriers; and Shahnila Adnan, who runs a successful home business, shared invaluable advice and counseling to the female entrepreneurs on their new business setups. Gm retail of shell Pakistan Ltd, Taha Magrabi, a patron of the tameer program opened the event, “my heartiest congratulations to the inspiring entrepreneurs. Tameer means to build, that is what the program sets out to do – build on ideas, transforming them into profitable business ventures which uplifts their surrounding communities. One of our focus areas is empowering women, and we have seen the exponential impact an individual entrepreneur can make on improving livelihood for not just their families but inspiring others to pursue their dreams. I look forward to further strengthen our collaboration with sos -tti to create a bigger impact on the socio-economic front.” as part of the enterprise development program, each student attends modules that enable the budding entrepreneurs to develop essential knowledge and skills required to start and run a successful, sustainable business. The series of “build the future workshops” cover key topics ranging from market research and business planning to financial and human resource management, culminating in the production of a viable business plan.


Blood Donation Camp At SOSTTI By Indus Hospital

A blood donation camp was set up at SOSTTI by Indus Hospital on 29th april 2019. 47 students of SOSTTI volunteered to donate blood. After testing finally 25 students were allowed to donate blood.

Provincial Skill Competition - 2018

Navttc provincial skill competition was held at aman tech on december 12, 2018. Governor Sindh Sr Imran Ismail was the chief guest.Technical institutes from all over Sindh participated. Mr.Tayyab of the industrial electrician course stood first in the competition. The student has received a cheque of rs.75, 000/- as prize and merit certificates from the Governor Sindh in a ceremony at aman tech.

Navttc provincial skill competition was held at aman tech and marriot hotel on april 30, 2018. Mr. Murad Ali Shah, chief minister of Sindh was the chief guest. Technical institutes from all over Sindh participated. Mr. Junaid of the industrial electrician course and Mr. Muhammad Ali of the automobile mechanic course both stood first in the competition. The students have received cheques of rs.75, 000/- as prize and merit certificates from the chief minister of sindh mr. Murad Ali Shah in a ceremony at marriot hotel.


National Skill Competition - 2016

Mr. Shah hussain student of SOSTTI, automobile course made sos proud by obtaining first position in National Vocational and Technical Training commission (NAVTTC) sponsored “national skill competition” held on october 23, 2017 at Islamabad. He received a cheque of rs.100,000/- from the President of Pakistan on October 30, 2017 in an impressive ceremony held at the presidency in Islamabad.
